The PhD Graduate in Physics of SKKU won
'The Young Statistical Physicist Award' of the Korean Physical Society (KPS)
Hye-jin PARK, a postdoctoral researcher of Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology in Germany, received the Young Statistical Physicist Award at the spring conference presentation of the Korean Physics Society on April 25th, 2018. She is a PhD graduate in physics of Sungkyunkwan University.
The 'Young Statistical Physicist Award' is awarded to researchers who are expected to contribute greatly to the development of Korean statistical physics as an outstanding research achievement in the doctoral course or within 2 years after receiving a doctoral degree.
Hye-jin PARK, a postdoctoral researcher, conducted research that applied statistical physics models to specific real-world problems and achieved meaningful results in research on optimal department placement, game theory, and social co-operation.
KPS said that she is also expected to contribute to the development of statistical physics in the future by publishing papers in excellent journals such as PRE (Physical Review E) and Physica.
